Interior Design Timeline in Sabah: From Brief to Completion
Every renovation has a different programme, but successful projects follow a similar sequence: define the brief, resolve the design, confirm the scope, prepare the site, coordinate construction and complete a handover.
Start with the Brief
Share the property type, location, drawings or dimensions, intended scope, budget direction and target completion date. This is where priorities are clarified before costly decisions are made.
Design Development and Approvals
Layout, storage, lighting, finishes and custom carpentry should be resolved before ordering materials. For a condominium, management approvals, renovation hours and access requirements should also be checked early.
Quotation and Pre-Construction Planning
Review inclusions, exclusions, materials, proposed programme and how changes will be approved. This is the point to compare like-for-like scope instead of comparing only a headline price.
Construction and Coordination
Site work often involves several trades. A clear sequence and one agreed contact help decisions move quickly when conditions on site differ from the original plan.
Handover
Before completion, review the agreed scope, finishes, installed items and any remaining work. Keep a simple record of approved changes throughout the project.
